We are seeking a HR Business Partner to join a large financial organisation based in Medway on a 12 month FTC.
Key responsibilities:
• Provide a proactive and professional HR Business Partnering service to all senior managers within the business area.
• Build, develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders to understand current business priorities and associated risks and opportunities and work with them to identify and resolve issues.
• Influence the business to obtain buy in to deliver HR initiates, monitor effectiveness and drive continuous improvements.
• Provide accurate advice to line managers in respect of all HR related matters, policies and processes providing support where required.
• Manage employee relations issues including sickenss absence, capability, disciplinary and grievances and the return to work process within allocated business areas, ensuring all situations are managed in line with employment legislation and relevant policies and procedures.
• Lead the co-ordination of appraisal, probation and performance management processes and provide coaching to line managers where applicable.
• Support business areas in projects/initiates that continuously enhance employee engagement.
• Support the Group Head of HR and the Head of Operations on areas relating to restructuring, acquisitions and TUPE when required.
• Work in partnership with the Learning and Development team on the delivery of HR related development activities and the Talent Acquisition team ensuring hiring needs within business areas are met.
• Manage and deliver ad-hoc HR projects that arise from time to time and assist in the design and implementation of all new and revises HR policies and processes.
• Proactively consider forward planning activities.
Skills and Attributes:
• 2 years previous experience of establishing and maintaining robust HR Business Partner relationships.
• 3 years previous experience in successfully managing a range of employment relations cases to fruition.
• 12 months previous experience in employee relations policy research and development.
• 12 months previous experience in managing employee consultation and redundancy process.
• Previous experience working within the financial services industry is desirable.
• CIPD qualifications are essential, ideally working towards a level 7 minimum.
Salary and Benefits:
• Salary of between £32,000 and £36,000 per annum plus discretionary bonus.
