Electrical Services Manager

GCS are expanding our Electrical Services Department and are actively looking for enthusiastic and driven candidates to join our team. We are currently seeking candidates to manage a wide range projects for our public sector clients, be able to demonstrate an effective attitude to departmental growth, be prepared to manage a team and independently manage service providers. Candidates must be able to demonstrate electrical competence and be qualified in doing so. This role is to be delivered from our office based in Rochester, Kent and candidates will be expected to travel and hold a clean & valid driving licence.

Key Duties
 To manage EICR testing Programmes.
 To manage Electrical Lighting Programmes.
 To manage Electrical Installation Programmes
 To undertake site based validation and audit.
 To undertake client policy and process reviews.
 To provide ongoing Technical Validation and Support
 To provide independent management of service provider
 To manage and grow an internal team
 To identify new opportunities and deliver new business
 To meet regularly with Client groups and be confident in providing status updates
 To build and improve on both internal and external relationships


Professional Qualifications

Qualifications/Training Essential

 Level 3 diploma in Electrical Installations (Buildings and Structures)
 Level 3 diplomas in Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification for new and existing electrical installations.
 Level 3 certification in the requirements for Electrical installations BS7671:2008

Desirable

 Bachelor’s Degree in Contract Management and Procurement with 3-5 Years’ experience or equivalent
 Qualified Member of a recognised professional body or organisation such as APM or equivalent
 Level 3 NVQ diploma in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Maintenance)
 Level 3 NVQ diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems & Equipment (Buildings, Structures and the environment).
 Level 4 diploma in Electrical Design, Erection and Verification
 Attendance in the requirements for Electrical installations for the 3rd amendment

Remuneration
 Salary - £42,000 - £45,000 per annum paid monthly
 Pension - in line with the statutory requirement associated with a small to medium sized business
 Vehicle – available with company fuel card
 Bonus – achievable upon delivery on department performance and is paid annually
 Holiday Entitlement – 25 days per annum (this excludes public holidays)
