For the right candidate this is an excellent career opportunity for a Product Safety Advisor to join and compliment the regulatory team.
The Product Safety department plays a key role in the continued success by ensuring that their business complies with all product safety legislation relating to the supply of chemical products. Whilst compliance is essential, the team also play a key role in helping to shape the legislative framework process to find workable business solutions, through representation.
The role involves the review, coordination and creation of technical data related to hazard assessment, preparation of hazard labelling and provision of product safety documentation.
You will be responsible for collating and submitting health, safety and environmental performance data to our parent company, working with internal functions and the Product Safety Manager to demonstrate positive performance.
This role will allow you to develop your own personal expertise through the management of this information as you proactively seek opportunities to increase your knowledge and build relationships with internal and external customers, stakeholders and other interested parties.

You will ideally, be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant science subject, with knowledge of product safety related legislation, including the transport of dangerous goods.

A cooperative team player, you will have a pro-active approach to learning and a keen interest in regulatory affairs. You will be able to manage your time effectively, with an organised approach and excellent communication skills.

Accuracy of information is paramount in this increasingly complex arena and you will be competent and confident using IT systems, ensuring data is updated and maintained in accordance with the relevant legislation.

As you gain experience in this role, you will be expected to represent company interests through involvement with trade associations and other interested parties, leading to a requirement for some travel within the UK and Europe.
