For over forty years, Moat has delivered high quality general needs homes for affordable rent, retirement housing, and independent living, and has a strong affordable home ownership offer. Moat is one of the Homes and Communities Agency’s development partners. Developing around 500 new homes every year, Moat is a not-for-profit organisation and all financial surpluses are reinvested to provide additional affordable homes and services.

As a Payroll & Assistant Accountant you will provide payroll services for the organisation with the ideal candidate having broad experience in both payroll and management accounting disciplines.

Ideally candidates should hold a CIPP qualification and be part-qualified or studying towards a recognised accounting qualification. This role requires an individual who is well organised, is able to work to extremely tight deadlines and will respect the confidentiality required. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be liaising with both internal and external customers.

Experience of Sun Systems or similar accounting databases is essential. Candidates should understand the requirements for management and financial accounts to meet audit standards, including current financial reporting standards. Candidates will be proficient in MS Office suit with excellent skills in Excel.
