Position Expectations
To Supervise and develop and allocated team of fitters, ensuring they are well managed and capable of performing the allocated tasks in a safe environment. To also work with the fitters in delivering quality installation solutions to their clients in a professional and effective manner. Candidates must be able to drive and be over the age of 25 due to insurance reasons. Possess supervisor or management experience and a good understanding of basic plumbing, carpentry, metal and electrical works. Previous experience of working in installation, shop or sign fitting would be a distinct advantage. Due to the nature of the industry candidates must be flexible regarding working hours and willing to travel as the working week will include Sundays, nights and potentially staying away from home.


Key Areas of responsibility
o To deliver the client installation requirements within procedures and quality expectations.
o To supervise the allocated project team to ensure that a consistent and professional service is delivered.
o To resolve issues in a pragmatic, professional and experienced manner, so as to be able to explain decisions as and when challenged.
o To provide clear and timely communications to the client and or main contractor ensuring they are kept informed of progress and issues as prescribed by the client.
o To provide clear internal communications to include communications on project progress, existing issues, potential issues, staffing matters/performance, suggested ideas of improvement etc. This will take the form of daily briefings, management reports or feedback at team meetings.
o To ensure that they work within a safe environment by reviewing the site and working methods for Health and Safety compliance
o To work efficiently and cost effectively in every aspect in recognition of business performance. This will include that the team are managed and performing well, correct procedures are being used and supplies/services are considered.
o To develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and clients.
o To maintain high standards of professional integrity and respect for others in all dealings with clients, colleagues, suppliers, other professionals and members of the public.
o To develop and maintain appropriate boundaries of confidentiality between clients and other organisations.
o To develop and maintain the range of skills appropriate to the post and to keep up-to-date with latest techniques and technologies.
o To ensure continuous self-development, both professionally and personally, through training, supervision and other appropriate means.
o To attend appropriate professional training courses/conferences/meetings, by agreement with the Line Manager.
o To treat all assets (tools, premises, vehicles etc) with respect and professionalism.
