We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is looking to develop their knowledge of IT in a workplace to join our small but busy IT team providing support services to a busy pack house operation.

We are an agile fresh produce service provider transitioning out of start-up phase and with solid growth plans in place we are creating a structure for sustainable success. We want our people to love being part of the team, creating an environment where development, challenge and engagement with the business and our customers businesses are core to our strategy; therefore we need some special people to help make it all happen.

Job Purpose:
To support the IT Manager in providing an efficient service to IT users and delivering on all IT related projects. Act as a liaison between IT users and service desk, resolving queries independently where possible or escalating if appropriate.

Main Responsibilities:
- Initial investigation of IT issues with a view to resolving where possible or escalating as required
- To assist site engineers with installs and network deployments
- Setting up IT equipment
- Project management and working in project teams
- General administration and record keeping
- Carry out customer operator training on printing and scanning and advise customers on correct, efficient and effective use and operation of the machines
- Provide basic training on use of IT equipment

This list is not exhaustive and the job holder may be required to undertake other duties commensurate with the position as required.


Working Week- Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm
Total hours per week- 40.00

- Good communication skills
- IT knowledge

Personal qualities:
- Presentable
- Good timekeeping

Qualifications required:
GCSE or equivalent qualifications in English & Maths


This Advanced Apprenticeship in ICT Professional Competence will consist of the following framework:

EDI Level 3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence (PROCOM)
Functional Skills in Maths, English & IT
Level 3 Certificate in ICT Systems & Principles
Employment Rights & Responsibilities (ERR)
Personal Learning & Thinking Skills (PLTS)

All of the training will take place within the workplace; however the apprentice may need to attend IPS International, Rochester for set exams and possible workshops throughout the apprenticeship.
