Account Handler,

Barker Munro Recruitment Ltd are recruiting for a leading independent Insurance broker based in Kent who have a first class reputation in the market for professionalism and professional development of staff and who are now looking to add an Account Handler to their team.

We are looking for an Account handler to work within the Schemes division of this large broker, dealing with motor trade (e.g. garages that sell cars) policies and private hire (e.g. chauffeur). The Premium size is £3,000 - £15,000.

As an Account Handler you will be given a delegated authority (underwriting) dealing with renewals, adjustments and claims and will be expected to offer an impressive service to your clients whilst learning and developing your expertise of the market. This is a fast paced environment with a quick turnaround of work which would suit someone with a really positive attitude and the ability to juggle a number of important clients at once.

Applicants will ideally need to have a knowledge and understanding of the working of the insurance Motor Trade market, but consideration will be given to candidates that can demonstrate a knowledge in general commercial insurance too. You will have ideally started and progressed with your CII studies although not essential and will be career minded, professional and motivated.
