Exciting opportunity - Customer Service Clerk
Our client, a local manufacturer who pride themselves on quality & reliability are actively seeking an experienced, proactive and forward thinking Customer Service Clerk to join their sales and marketing team due to continued growth and success.
Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Director you will be the primary point of contact for order administration with assigned customers, and support sales with account management activities as required
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
* Preparing quotes, processing orders and customer requests
* Ensure export licensing requirements have been reviewed by the export compliance manager
* Liaise with operations for lead time estimates and production schedule updates for customers
* Liaise with finance for shipping costs and delivery scheduling
* Prepare cost and price build-up analysis using data in the company's MRP and cost models
* Log and follow-up new opportunities with prospects contacting the company's website
* Monthly reporting on key business metrics (quotes made by value, by customer, pipeline trends
* Cover for other members of the team when necessary
To be competent in the company's customer order management processes including:The ideal candidate will have worked within a position involving customer or team interaction or where personal communication and organisation are key factors delivering a service and will be:
*
Effective communicator with good written and spoken English skills.
*
Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office tools, Outlook, Word and Excel
*
Numerate and comfortable with capturing and manipulating data from different sources to produce costings and pricelists
*
Attention to detail, organised and able to prioritise own workload
*
Team player, able to work independently and to deadlines
*
Ideally degree educated or school leaver with good grades at A / AS level or similar further education qualifications (Diploma, NVQ)
