We have a new instruction from an established client for an Analytical Chemist or Laboratory Assistant on a permanent basis.

Working for an employer of choice, this position reports to the Chemistry Manager within a manufacturing environment (non-food) where the primary purpose of the role is to analyse finished products and raw materials to the company’s specifications, meeting statutory, regulatory and customer requirements within Good Control Laboratory Practices (GCLP) and Analytical Quality Control (AQC) framework.

We are ideally looking for an individual with 2/3 years’ experience in an Analytical Lab as a minimum with either a Degree in Chemistry, or a relevant qualification and experience.

You will also:
Test raw materials and incoming materials according to the appropriate specifications
Perform in process checks on bulk products pre and post filtration as necessary
Ensure the lab equipment is regularly calibrated
Prepare and maintain a range of standard solutions and bench reagents used in the quantitative and qualitative analysis of incoming samples within the cGLP framework
Record all results as per cGMP standards
Assist the Chemistry Lab Manager in the validation of new and existing test methods and in the investigation of specification samples/batches

In addition you will have experience in a combination of any of the following:
cGMP, HPLC, CAPA, Change Control, Validation of Products and Equipment
