LIFEGUARD VACANCIES

Herons Leisure Centre, Herne Bay

PERMANENT - 31 hours per week, across the following shifts:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 8am-2pm and Sunday 7.30am to 2.30pm

£14,544 or *£15,255 per annum FTE - (£7.15 or the *National Living Wage of £7.50 per hour for 25yrs+)

We are looking for a responsible and reliable individual whose key duties will be ensuring that our swimmers are safe and our customers are looked after, whilst also keeping the centre clean and preparing the activity areas for our busy programme.

You should possess maturity and a common sense approach, coupled with enthusiasm and a strong customer focus.

Applicants will ideally hold a current National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ). However, unqualified applicants may also be considered for the permanent role if they are able to demonstrate the right attitude and swimming ability, in which case funding may be available to achieve the NPLQ.

Successful, qualified applicants will be eligible to apply for a refund of any self-funded NPLQ qualification fee in accordance with Active Life’s policy.

CASUAL POSITIONS
We are also keen to hear from NPLQ qualified individuals who are interested in casual Lifeguarding opportunities, providing ad-hoc cover during our operating periods of Monday to Sunday, 7am to 10pm.
