Support workers required for residential care homes for adults with learning disabilities in Newhaven.

Your new company
Hays Social Care works closely with a number local authorities, registered charities and residential care homes, to provide them with all of their staffing needs. With Hays Social Care you be assigned your own consultant who specialises in the area. They will be there to assist you with any queries you may have and will be dedicated to finding you employment within social care sector.

Your new role
You'll be required to work with residents and will encourage and assist them to be as independent as possible. You will assist with the implementation of support plans, personal care, and the organisation of activities. You will support service users in all aspects of their lives both emotionally and physically. Working with higher management you will unsure the upkeep of the high standards in accordance with CQC requirements. You will be flexible with hours and willing to work a variety of shifts. You will ensure the home maintains a safe working environment and follow the organisations policies, procedures and codes of practice. Your duties may also include the organisation and administering of medications and other medical care in line with service users support plans. You will ensure the well-being of the residents by raising any concerns to your line manager.

What you'll need to succeed
You will require a caring, patient and helpful nature. Recent experience within social care and support work is essential. Drivers with own transport are preferred. An enhanced DBS check will need to be completed before commencement of work, of which costs will be covered by Hays.
