My client specialises in the manufacture of materials used within the aggregate and building product industries . They are now looking to recruit an experienced,Maintenance Manager with the ability to lead, inspire and develop the team, utilising management skills and continuous improvement activities . The role reports to the Operations Manager, providing excellent opportunities for personal and career development through training development programmes and sustained investment.

The Role: Maintenance Manager

The development of systems and standards to deliver world-class standards of housekeeping within the engineering environment using 5S principles.
Procurement of engineering materials, goods and services to support the maintenance and improvement of plant, buildings and utilities.
To develop a maintenance system to facilitate planned preventative maintenance and effective engineering stock control.
People Management, motivation and structured development of the team through performance review to ensure delivery of objectives through Team-working.
The design, implementation and management of capital improvement projects aimed at improving manufacturing capability.
To make sure the site conforms to all Company and Factory Control Procedures.
Ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety and Environmental legislation.
Promote & Apply Continuous Improvement tools, techniques & methodology.
Ensure Compliance with the Manufacturing Budget.

Skills / Qualifications / Experience: Maintenance Manager

A recognised engineering qualification
A high degree of self-motivation.
Demonstrable supervisory experience.
The ability to understand, accept and achieve targets and deadlines.
Demonstrable organisational skills including efficient planning and implementation of systems and procedures.
Leadership and man management skills and the ability to build, motivate, develop and improve the team.
Demonstrable ability to implement structured problem solving techniques, provide solutions and delegate responsibility.
A proven project management skills history.
Significant experience of managing in a large engineering /production environment
