Insurance Advisor, Kent

Barker Munro has been appointed to recruit for an expanding insurance organisation based in Kent. Currently we have requirements for insurance advisors to join an extremely friendly and professional Insurance organisation. This organisation has grown rapidly over recent years and now has a number of offices throughout the world.

The role will suit candidates with a good telephone manner and who are comfortable in converting calls into quotations but not under a heavy sales environment. You will provide first line client service support to all customers meeting targets. You must be customer focussed, be able to follow up new business leads and be comfortable in making warm sales calls whilst working to daily sales targets, albeit that this is NOT a heavy Sales Role.

Experience in personal lines motor or household and/or Commercial SME underwriting or broking would be highly desirable and advantageous, but not essential. An awareness of working in a customer service/call centre office environment is, however, essential. Good confident telephone manner and the ability to build relationships with people are key.

We are also keen to hear from people with no sales experience in Insurance but are keen to put their insurance knowledge to good use in an exciting team.

Full support will be provided to further your professional studies within the insurance industry. You must be educated to GCSE level with Grade C or above in Maths and English or equivalent work experience.

The role is split equally between servicing existing clients and new business activity with a healthy commission scheme in place to increase your earnings. Solid basic salary with an uncapped OTE
