We are now seeking two full time experienced Cash Clerk's to join our busy Finance department. The roles will be based at Snodland and will report into the Cash Supervisor.
The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for processing all incoming and outgoing cash transactions and to regularly reconcile the cash book and bank accounts.
Duties will include:
* Maintaining cashbooks
* Undertaking regular bank reconciliations
* Liaising with banks, customers and software suppliers
* Processing files received from banks and third parties
* Investigation and resolution of suspense account items
* Resolution of customers queries on missing payments
* Daily Balancing of cash files posted to Hi-Affinity
* Processing of NEET remittances
* Raising and processing all payments as required (CHAPS, BACS, cheques)
* Cash reporting and forecasting
* Banking of cash and cheques
* Petty cash control
* Monthly accruals and journals
* Processing of credit card expenditure
* Ad hoc duties as and when required
Expected requirements:
* Must be educated to GCSE grades A to C standard or equivalent
* Sound bookkeeping knowledge and experience
* Proven experience of processing high volume cash transactions
* Computer literate - basic Word and Excel skills
* Good communication skills
* Diligent with good attention to detail
* Ability to work to deadlines
