Porchlight is recruiting for a full-time Community Wellbeing Network Worker working 37.5 hours per week and two part-time Community Wellbeing Network Workers working 16 hours per week for postcodes DA1 and DA11/12 areas of Dartford and Gravesend.

This post is an exciting opportunity to support and facilitate Community Wellbeing Networks in partnership with local people, service providers and local government based on the ‘Six ways to Wellbeing’. The aim of the Community Wellbeing Network is to improve the connection and overall wellbeing of people, developing a strong community voice and ensuring services are responding to the needs of the community. The service will be built and run by local people. The ideas/activities and events will be appropriate to their interests and needs. Mapping services and identifying gaps will form part of the role and will bring people together to create new initiatives. The service will be underpinned by the philosophies of wellbeing and social inclusion.

Do you have a positive, self-motivated and enthusiastic attitude to work? Have you got an ability to initiate and maintain constructive relations with people from a wide range of cultural and social backgrounds? Do you have a proactive approach to work and the ability to motivate and engage people? Do you have the ability to communicate effectively with a range of people, supporting the Community Wellbeing Network Manager to deliver a high quality service?

Contract: Fixed term for 1 year

The closing date for applications is 5 May 2017 at 9am. Interviews are due to take place in the week commencing 15 May 2017.
