A Folkestone Primary School is looking for a teacher to cover their Year 5 and 6 classes for PPA and interventions.
This would mean that the teacher would work 3 days a week. The school have decided that this will mean more consistency for the classes and more support is given to both cohorts in the run up to end of year assessments. The school are keen for this role to filled as soon as possible, as they would like the teacher to be able to cover adhoc days to get used to the school and children before the end of this academic year.
The successful teacher would need to have a secure understanding of the KS2 curriculum and be able to plan for PPA after discussions with the class teacher. The school has a hardworking, but friendly staff who work well as a team to provide the best for the children. Therefore, it is important that the teacher can work within a team.
Simply Education believe in supporting its staff and to do this, has employed ex deputy heads to support you during long-term placements and to deliver free CPD courses in behaviour management and the new primary curriculum, amongst others.
To be a successful supply teacher you will need to:
- Be a newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) or have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE or Bachelor of Education
- Have the ability and experience of teaching in Key Stage 1 & 2
- Have strong classroom management skills
- Be able to deal with challenging behaviour
- Have a creative approach to teaching
- Be able to use your own initiative and work as part of a team

- No need for completion of time sheets

All candidates who register with Simply Education will have 2 years referencing taken up and will be required to have an enhanced DBS check completed. All offers are conditional upon satisfactory background checks.
