Lettings Negotiator / Property Manager

Hours - 5 days per week (alternate Saturdays with 1 day off in week)
Flexible hours for the right candidate – will consider Full and Part Time applicants.
£10-12 per hour dependent on experience which approximates £19,000-£23,500 per annum (pro-rata).

Daisylets are an independent and established family-run Letting Agency based near West Malling, Kent.

You will be required as a Property Manager / Lettings Assistant and Administrator/PA to deal with the letting and management of our rental properties. This is a busy, varied role, involving vetting prospective tenants, carrying out the referencing process and conducting general lettings administration such as drafting reference reports and tenancy related documents/agreements. You will also be responsible for the day-today management of our properties, which includes duties such as dealing with any maintenance issues quickly and effectively and conducting interim inspections as well as executing the checkout process at the end of tenancies. This job can be pressurised and so you will need to be a capable multi-tasker, able to handle several things at once and take responsibility for each task, seeing all work items through from start to finish.

Working as part of a small team, you must be prepared and able to think on your feet and make effective decisions on a daily basis. Although admin is a key aspect of the job, the capricious nature of the role means that processes are not always one and the same and you must be able to assess every matter on an individual basis using sound judgment with a can-do attitude, and have the ability to problem solve independently and under pressure.

We are looking for a person who has experience in this type of work, is both highly organised and efficient and is able to work accurately at a quick pace. If not necessarily experienced in property, this role would very much suit an individual with PA experience as a large part of the job is of this nature.

You will also need to be able to deal with landlords and tenants on a one to one basis with confidence and decorum, providing excellent customer service at all times. As a member of our small team you will be representing the business and must uphold our reputation as an honest, dedicated and ethical letting agent who do the very best for our clients at all times.

Knowledge of the ever-changing lettings laws or willingness to learn is required, as is excellent grammar and spelling along with communication skills including via phone, face to face and email. You will need to be flexible, have excellent organisation, administrative and IT skills (Apple mac preferred, plus word, excel, email and internet), plus a sharp eye for detail and drive to excel in everything that you do. You must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as forming part of a small team, and most importantly have a positive, professional, and proactive approach to all daily tasks and the role as a whole.

The ideal candidate will have at least two years' experience in property management and administration however other experience of a minimum of two years that incorporates the above attributes will also be considered – please apply with you CV and a Cover Letter explaining how your knowledge and experience – personal and/or work related - makes you the ideal candidate for the job.

Full UK driving license and access to own vehicle a must.
