About us

The Ambrette Restaurant is an award-wining and Michelin-listed restaurant offering a unique cuisine combining sustainably produced and locally sourced ingredients along with more exotic offerings.We are seeking a passionate and confident chef to continue to drive the restaurant forward.

The Role

The chef position is a vital part of the Restaurant team, responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen and delivering the highest level of food hygiene and cleanliness.

Responsibilities will include

Prepare ingredients and dishes to a high level with excellent presentation.
Working with a team to ensure positive guest experiences
Maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Stock management using fifo
Maintaining food safety and food handling standards, the highest levels of cleanliness, and safety procedures in relation to allergens.
Support with food prep is provided.
Extensive training in creating Ambrette dishes is provided


About you

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a brand of independent restaurants. Extensive training will be offered to the right candidate. You should have experience of restaurants or hotels in a similar setting.

Experience in preparing cuisine such as: - Indian, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepalese, Sri Lanka , or Thai cuisine is an advantage.

This position is best suited to someone with excellent presentation skills and experience working in a high pressured kitchen. The ability to keep calm under pressure will be a crucial skill.
