Barker Munro recruitment Ltd are delighted to be working closely with an extremely well respected Insurer to recruit a Senior member of their Underwriting team based in Modern offices in Maidstone, Kent.

Using your sound, technical Motor Trade knowledge and underwriting ability, you will be responsible for the performance of the branch motor trade account. Managing a team of three people, you will take underwriting referrals and deal with the larger cases whilst sharing your knowledge and best practice. In accordance with a licence authority, you will underwrite the more complex new and existing business risks. This means assessing risks, working within our underwriting strategy, looking at key factors or changes that might affect the policy and applying terms to risks as applicable.

You’ll enjoy working as part of a busy team and building relationships, but will equally work efficiently and proactively alone. Preferably you have progressed with your ACII qualification but more importantly it is your results driven mentality which will be key to your success in this role.
