My Client is an expanding Manufacturer, part of a Group of Companies, looking to develop new products, and who are also committed to Quality and Value.
To continue with this commitment, they are now looking to recruit an experienced NPD Manager to support the Head of Development in managing & driving the concept team to deliver the development targets.

The Role: NPD Manager - Food Industry

Working closely with all functions, deliver focused development that achieves pre agreed gross margin
Optimise existing capabilities and site capacity.
Demonstrate knowledge and expertise within the target cuisines and in food generally
Develop clear continuous improvement plans and targets.
Develop customer category understanding
Support the Head of Development to plan, organise and control resources to deliver new product development concepts
Develop and maintain effective customer relationships at relevant levels.
Working closely with the marketing, buying and technical teams
With the Head of Development manage off brief projects
Work in conjunction with the site process manager to oversee the successful handover or products from kitchen to factory.

Skills / Experience / Qualifications: NPD Manager - Food Industry

Qualified to degree level or above in Food Science or a related subject
Strong and proven track record of NPD achievement
Extensive food development and recipe knowledge
Demonstrable experience of successfully leading a team
Strong financial and project management
Sound communication and negotiation skills
A passion for all things food!!!
