Our client based in Folkestone are looking for two experienced Housing Officers to join their team and support the Housing Options Team Leader. The role is a temporary assignment due to start on 2nd May and is due to finish on 31st August.

The main responsibilities of this role will include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring high quality customer service is given to members of the public, offering support with housing options and advice services
- Maintaining knowledge of housing legislation and relaying this to members of the public
- Being supportive and offering advice to people that have been declared homeless
- Liaising with other governing bodies to support members of the public with housing options
- Creating and maintaining records and databases
- Be first point of contact for people that have been threatened homeless
- Other admin duties
- Adhering to all council codes of conduct

The successful candidates must have the following:
- GCSE Maths & English or equivalent
- Chartered Institute of Housing qualification or equivalent experience
- Experience of working with Homeless Enquiries
- Experience of working with vulnerable customers
- Experience of offering homeless prevention support
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of Housing Act

Successful candidates MUST be available to interview on 18th April and MUST be available to start on 2nd May
