Employing over 250 people, across three sites in the UK, Aeromet International Ltd is a major supplier of investment and sand castings to the aerospace and defence industries. With over 40 years’ experience we are continuously developing techniques and processes that enable us to form unique and lasting partnerships with the biggest names in industry.

There are two sites in Kent; Rochester and Sittingbourne. Rochester specialises in the manufacture of pressure tight jet fuel connectors to the commercial aviation sector via the lost wax process. Sittingbourne specialises in casting aluminium and magnesium components primarily for the commercial aviation sector which include heat exchangers, fuel pumps and various other aerospace structural castings, via the sand casting process.

We are currently seeking to strengthen our Kent Maintenance department. All roles are dual site – post holders are required to attend both sites according to business needs, but will be based at the Rochester facility. We have a variety of positions available across both the day and night shifts:

Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
• Salary up to £30k DOE
• 48 hours per week
• Day and Night Shift roles available

Reporting to the Site Services Manager, the post holder will be responsible for ensuring that all plant equipment and machinery across the sites is operating efficiently with the minimum amount of downtime and kept in safe and good mechanical working order. Whilst experienced and able to maintain the machinery themselves, the post holder will liaise and work with specialist subcontractors when necessary.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer -
• Salary up to £30k DOE
• 48 hours per week
• Day and Night Shift roles available
• Applicants must be 17th Edition

Reporting to the Site Services Manager, the post holder will focus on the electrical aspect of machine, plant and site maintenance. They will be responsible for ensuring that all plant equipment and machinery across the sites is operating efficiently and safely with the minimum amount of downtime and kept in safe and good mechanical working order. In addition, they will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of the electrics within the buildings.

Handyperson
• Hourly rate of £7.75 rising to £8.76 after a 3 month
probationary period
• 48 hours per week
• Full, clean driving licence is essential
• Day Shift

Reporting to the Site Services Manager, the post holder will be required to undertake a variety of tasks including assisting with general site maintenance, delivery/ collection using the company van, grounds keeping, painting and decorating etc.


All candidates must have a practical, hands on and solution focused approach with excellent problem solving and decision making ability. You must be able to work calmly and efficiently under pressure and be PC literate.
