Our Engineering Manufacturing client based near Sittingbourne requires a CAD Technician to join their team.
Reporting to the Technical Manager the role will involve:
• Designing and developing new products that meet functional, and aesthetic specifications
• Visiting customers to provide technical support – assisting with enquiries
• Producing and modifying technical drawings (scheme, manufacturing, renders)
• Testing prototype and existing tooling on company’s CNC test machine
• Writing technical reports (product design, performance, and tests)
• Monitoring and reporting relevant information to management
• Supporting quality inspection
• Identifying the most appropriate manufacturing route for the production quality, quantity and cost profile required
• Demonstrate value (productivity, ease of use, quality etc.) of company products to customers and prospects
• Arbitrate on issues relating to product non-conformance (together with Quality Manager)

Suitable candidates will ideally have the following skills / experience / attributes:

• Experience within a similar role would be beneficial however some training will be provided
• Educated to HNC / HND (or equivalent) in a relevant Engineering discipline
• Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
• A well organised, self-starter with a pro-active approach
• Great attention to detail
• Flexibility to travel / visit customers as and when required
