Our Prestigious Manufacturing Client based in Crawley requires a Service Technician to carry out service visits for their national and international customer base.
The role will involve:
• Installation of electro-mechanical industrial equipment predominantly on to printing presses – both as new and retrofit equipment
• Commissioning systems, recording the required measurements.
• Test the equipment to satisfy the customer’s requirements and provide operator training.
• Service and repair of existing systems – fault finding
• Travel in the UK and overseas worldwide working mostly alone but with support from the in-house service team
Suitable candidates:
• Must be happy to carry out national and international travel – (80% field based and 20% in house – after product training is completed). Most international trips will be 1- 5 days (primarily Monday – Friday where possible) however some trips may require a 2 week stay.
• Electrical Engineering City & Guilds level 1&2&3 or HNC/HND and/or 17th / 18th edition, or electrical degree (or equivalents).
• Extensive recent experience of 3 phase industrial environments – essential
• Knowledge of PCBs & PLCs
• Must have a current manual full driving licence with no more than 3 penalty points
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are essential
Salary is dependant upon skills and experience plus overtime.
