Manufacturing Technician – South East UK

12 month FTC

We are currently recruiting for a Technician, offering an exciting and innovative place to work, with an excellent benefits package and a strong team culture.

The Role
To contribute to the development of novel and existing products and processes by the production of high quality scientific data, and to provide a range of scientific support to Project Teams as required.

Key Responsibilities
• Assist in manufacture of preclinical and clinical formulations.
• Preparation of formulations following a protocol
• Maintain all areas of the laboratory in clean and tidy state.
• Ensure all applicable quality measures are met and adhered to.
• Sampling for analysis.
• Ensure training record is maintained to cGxP.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of all relevant cGxP documents.
• As required, ensuring analytical equipment is fully calibrated and serviced in accordance to company protocols and procedures.
• Record all experimental outcomes in an appropriate format.

Essential Skills & Experience
• Experience gained in a regulated production environment, ideally within the pharmaceutical/chemical or food industry.
• High level of numeracy.
• Willingness to learn and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Excellent communication skills including written.
• A working knowledge of standard Microsoft packages, i.e. Excel and Word.
• The ability to work on own or in a team environment.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• A minimum of A Level qualification in Maths and Science or previous laboratory experience.

Desirable Skills and Experience
• Ideally hold qualifications gained in the Pharmaceutical industry i.e. NVQ’s, or similar.
• Previous experience of working in a cGMP environment.
