Administrative Assistant – PT 20 hrs / Wk
We are looking for someone with a minimum of 2-3 years administration experience to join an established and successful event equipment hire business located in Northfleet, Kent.
Although a background within the events / hospitality industry is not essential, previous experience of working in a sales support or customer services environment is preferred.
The successful candidate will be a reliable, trustworthy, bright, team player with a can-do attitude and the ability to think outside the box. A good working knowledge of MS Office and Excel is required, along with an excellent telephone manner and strong written communication skills.
Hours of work are 1.00pm to 5.00pm 5 days per week, Mon-Fri. There is a local car park available and the nearest bus stop is in Perry Street, 2 mins walk from our base.
We are offering an hourly rate of £8.76
Main responsibilities:
• Dealing with customer requests and queries via telephone and email
• Creating quotes and booking forms
• Accurate data entry on bespoke database
• Researching event specific details such as parking, venue access etc.
• Processing payments and updating customer account details
• Filing and general administration duties
Personal Specification:
• Reliable – sensible, hardworking, punctual and consistent
• Friendly – confident, enjoys looking after customers, approachable
• Trustworthy – honest, will follow procedures and practices
• Problem solver – calm and flexible
• Team player – good listener, active participant, communicates constructively
