EXPERIENCED HEAD COOK REQUIRED to run the kitchen at our 30 bed dementia care home.
36 hours per week including every other weekend.
Must hold basic food hygiene certificate and ideally a level 2 catering qualification.
Summary of duties:
To prepare, cook and serve quality home cooked meals made to the highest standard.
Ensure that balanced meals are given and special dietary needs are met.
Check food stocks and place orders with designated suppliers.
Assist in the smooth running of the kitchen.
Ensure all documentation is kept up to date according to current legislation.
Ensure that the kitchen and its equipment is cleaned and maintained according to the kitchen schedule.
