Title: One Maidstone Administrator
Location: Maidstone Town Centre
Responsible to: the MaidSafe Partnership Manager
Responsible for: supporting the function and promotion of the One Maidstone CIC including MaidSafe
Contract: Twelve month contract subject to a successful three month probationary period. The post may be made permanent at the end of the term.
Hours of work: 20 per week though some flexibility will be required and occasional extra hours may be necessary
Salary: £8-10 per hour subject to experience
Benefits: 10 days annual leave per annum plus bank holidays (25 days annual leave per annum pro rata)

About the role:
One Maidstone CIC (Community Interest Company) is a not for profit organisation that seeks to make Maidstone a safe and attractive place in which to live, work, visit and do business. This post will provide the successful applicant with the chance to be a part of a small, friendly team that works to benefit Maidstone town centre. You will be allowed the opportunity to be really involved in projects and activities, make contacts and work closely with our partners at Maidstone Borough Council, Kent County Council and Kent Police and also with representatives of town centre businesses and members of the community. You will be at the heart of what we do at a time when we are seeking to broaden our horizons and make a real difference to Maidstone town centre.
Job Purpose:
To support the Town Centre Coordinator and MaidSafe Partnership Manager in the delivery and promotion of the One Maidstone CIC objectives, including MaidSafe the Business Crime Reduction Partnership. To provide administrative assistance through the provision of fundamental office support functions and to be involved in the activities and projects that the company provides.
Duties include:
• Arranging meetings and minute taking
• Procurement of stationery, equipment and office supplies
• Finance and accounts responsibilities including:
i) Invoicing MaidSafe members
ii) Monitoring debtors and identifying aged debtors to the Partnership Manager
iii) Producing and sending statements of accounts to MaidSafe members
• Establish new contacts, build relationships with existing town centre contacts
• Organise, support and be part of town centre events and activities
• Promote town centre activities through social media
• Maintain and update the company websites
• Maintain and update contacts on the town centre database and the MaidSafe members list
• Maintain and update MaidSafe member inventory
• Recording of MaidSafe intelligence
• Any other task that could be reasonably considered part of the role
Personal attributes:
• A confident, friendly demeanour
• An ability to be tactful and diplomatic
• Be approachable, listen carefully and deliver what is promised
• Be thorough, organised and show attention to detail
• Have an interest in Maidstone’s community and be invested in measures taken to improve its appeal to residents, visitors and businesses
• Have an understanding and confidence in the use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook
• Have experience using social media including Twitter, Facebook
• Experience of maintaining and updating websites would be advantageous
