Working for a prestigious visitor attraction you will be managing community engagement projects, interacting with the public, schools and other community groups to deliver programs such as exhibitions, talks, tours, workshops, online, courses, publications, projects and media. This will involve liaising closely with Events, Communications, and the Learning Teams within the site.

Duties include:

*Devising and managing a program of activities for the site as well as large and small events
*Engaging with the community and local schools
*Developing learning materials
*Recruiting volunteers
*Broadening the range of audiences accessing the activities
*Developing relationships with local community groups
*Planning market strategies to engage under represented community groups
*Ensuring the public programmes meets the needs and interests of audiences that are culturally diverse and of differing abilities
*Monthly reporting of activity
*Working to budgets

It is essential that you have worked with the community to engage in events and activities. Experience of successfully evaluating a variety of engagement programmes using a range of methods appropriate to diverse community audiences is essential. You will have contacts with local community organisations and will have ideally worked for a museum, heritage site or diverse visitor attraction.
