Job Title:Multi-skilled Trader
Location: Crayford
Salary: £15 per hour
Swanstaff Recruitment is an award winning agency working on behalf of its prestigious client in the reactive maintenance/construction sector who is currently looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Trader. The role is full time and permanent offering an excellent salary package. This is an exciting and unique opportunity.
The role
Main responsibility:
Our client have been successful in securing work with some of the largest construction companies in the UK delivering reactive maintenance works to prestigious high street names.
To service this contract we have a requirement to recruit a fulltime, qualified Multi-skilled Trader.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
* CSCS Card
* 5-year minimum experience in the multi skilled trade.
* Recognised trade qualification.
* Demonstrate experience in working on commercial contracts.
* Own the tools.
* Experience in dealing with the general public in a professional manner ensuring all customers are treated with dignity & respect.
* To assist the contract management team in delivering a customer focussed cost effective and efficient maintenance service. This includes Planned Maintenance, Reactive Maintenance and other Services as required in order to meet its contractual and legal obligations.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
* Carrying out routine PPM and repair and improvement works.
* Work in accordance with Work Instructions, Safe Working Practices and Method Statements ensuring relevant paperwork is completed in an accurate timely manner.
* Maintain stock and procurement control systems as directed.
* Work safely, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of yourself, colleagues, customers and visitors.
* Act as a Competent Person as directed and appointed.
* Complete all job completion notes/reports as required in a timely manner.
GENERAL
* Deliver excellent customer service in this client facing role and ensure excellent client relationships are sustained.
* Adaptable to flexible working patterns, when required and willingness to share coverage of out of hour works, with possibility of shift work rotas in the future.
* Demonstrate a willingness to attend training courses.
ADDITIONAL ROLE INFORMATION
* The core skill for this position is one of the above trades however we expect the successful candidate to be proficient in a variety of construction skills and willing to be flexible and accommodating to the needs of the contract and delivering the works required comprehensibly.
* Flexible approach to working and a "can do" attitude.
* A Multi-Skilled approach and an expectancy to be trained and widen the skill base and competency.
* Understand the maintenance requirements of the role.
* Preferably worked within a commercial maintenance/ construction environment previously.
* Have knowledge and appreciation of Contractual Service Level Agreements for Reactive and Planned Maintenance.
* Be aware and accept that the role could incorporate a future change in working patterns, with a strong possibility of shift work
ADDITIONAL ROLE INFORMATION
* A vehicle may be supplied; therefore, applicants should possess a full clean driving licence.
* Able to work within a performance driven environment and to tight deadlines, ensuring contract KPI's are delivered.
* Be able to work within Safe Working Practices and adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental policies and guidelines.
