QC Inspector
Maidstone
Salary £24,000 to £30,000 DOE

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quality Inspector to work with a well regarded automotive/engineering company, based in the outskirts of Maidstone

The team is responsible for ensuring individual product quality through technical sample inspections.

The main purpose of the job and duties performed include:

* Perform visual and physical inspections of sample manufactured parts
* Creation of sample inspection reports
* Evaluate inspection results to determine approval or rejection.
* Technical support and advice to other departments
* The effective day-to-day management of a team of Sample Inspectors. Responsible for their support, training and development, performance reviews and personal development plans.

Essential Skills & Experience

* Experience of working within a quality control environment
* Engineering and mechanical parts knowledge, ideally within the automotive sector
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines.
* Confidence to communicate and deal with people at all levels
* IT knowledge including Microsoft, Word and Excel
* Technical Report writing
* Ability to use inspection measurement equipment

Ideal candidates will have a background in either the automotive, engineering industries or a technical automotive-related qualification together with the above experience
