Due to continued success, growth and winning new business projects our client is actively seeking a Test Engineer to compliment and strengthen their existing team



It will be your responsibility to interpret test programs and to perform specified tests on engines and vehicles, using computerised engine test dynamometers, chassis dynamometers, Climatic chambers and emissions equipment.

Development testing, data logging and analysis.
*

Instrumentation requirements - undertaking tests, preparing test data and graphs.
*

Calibration and maintenance of test equipment.
*

To diagnose and rectify faults with instrumentation & engine test equipment



You will have/be;

* Served a recognised engineering apprenticeship, or a high level of relevant experience.

* Sound knowledge of engines, fuel injection systems and test procedures

* Ability to work within a technical environment and communicate effectively with all members of the team.

* Computer literate, a reasonable level of MS office experience required.Ability to work in a flexible manner

* The ability to systematically work through problems on your own initiative.

* Self-motivated and the ability to work effectively both as part of a team and alone.

* Educated to Degree level in an associated Engineering subject would be preferred, or a high level of relevant experience.



This position is work a shift pattern. Hours are as follows: They are 37 hours per week.

06.00 - 14.00 and 14.00 - 22.00 on a one week rotation. So one week early shift then one week late shift

On the Friday the late shift finishes at 20.30 rather than 22.00.
