The is a very interesting role for an experienced Product Manager with a technical mind. Experience in Manufacturing or retail a great advantage

This position sits within the Product Technical team; reporting directly to the Product Technical Director
You will be responsible for:
• Managing the existing product range
• Sourcing new products and components
• Developing and managing new products
• Have a strategic awareness of the market, following and reporting back on market trends and innovations within the market
• Manage product lifecycles by using analytical skills to monitor the sales and profit margins of products through their life
• Market research to underpin specific development
• Negotiating both cost and quality with suppliers and managing product margin contributions.
• Establishing and building relationships with suppliers and visiting supplier factories both in the UK and overseas
• Working closing with customers on new product development
• Working within the product critical path to ensure deadlines are met
• Propose new product ideas and improvements via a project brief system
• Drawing up detailed technical product specifications
• Working closely with the product technical department regarding product compliance


Key Skills Requirements:
• A proven track record in a similar product manager role is essential managing products from concept to launch
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to communicate to a technical detail
• A developed analytical mindset with technical/engineering experience
• Strong numerical skills
• A keen eye for detail and an understanding of the creative aspects of a product
• Strong commercial acumen/awareness
• Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure
• Able to work in a dynamic environment and enjoys multi-tasking.
• A professional, confident self-starter with an entrepreneurial flair.
• A problem solving mind set
• Knowledge of Word and Excel software
