Project Title: Supporting Women and Girls’ Project

Diversity House is a leading charity in the promotion of community integration, inclusion and cohesion. Set up in 2007 to provide opportunities and services for disadvantaged and marginalised communities, to improve their participation in community services. The main goal of the Supporting Women and Girls project is to tackle isolation and improve social and life skills, employability and enterprise skills, wellbeing and confidence among women in Swale.
We are seeking a project worker at 35 weekly hours at £18,200 per annum plus pension. This post is funded by the Reaching Communities grant of the Big Lottery Fund and is offered on a fixed term basis with an initial probationary period of three months.
The programme will deliver both preventative and interventional activities such as one-to-one support; advocacy; individualised support; support group setting and/or therapeutic intervention; mentoring and coaching; training; volunteering and opportunities for socialising.
Knowledge and experience of working with disadvantaged and marginalised women and children is desirable.
