HEAD CHEF – HOLIDAY INN ASHFORD CENTRAL

The Holiday Inn Ashford Central is owned and managed by Kew Green Hotels Ltd.

The hotel is a converted 17th century barn with 103 bedrooms added, original Bybrook Tavern Restaurant & Bar seating 130 guests, 6 meeting rooms for up to 140 covers.
As Head Chef, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the hotel kitchen.

Your key targets will include:

- Employee engagement – kitchen and hotel
- Food cost
- Food revenue
- HACCP / Food safety audit / EHO stars / statutory legislation
- Training & development of our GREAT team.
- Guest satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role or be a senior Sous Chef looking for their first Head Chef position, with relevant qualifications as well as:

- Have strong leadership skills, depth of knowledge with experience of banqueting operations.
- Have the ability to supervise, develop and team build effectively.
- Be able to communicate to all levels professionally.
- Have the ability to keep calm under pressure.
- Ensure that all aspects of the kitchen activity are coordinated to create a professional, safe, hygienic and cost effective working environment.
- Ensure that food items are handled, cooked and served to company specifications.
- Maintain operations standards to the highest possible level in respect of service, hygiene, health and safety and ensure there is minimal wastage.
