We are looking for an experienced Community Care Worker who lives in or near Romney Marsh to head our new team in that area. Meritum has been established since 1998 and has provided care and support to clients throughout Kent ever since.

We are looking to expand into the Romney Marsh area and looking for someone who is seeking a challenge to build and manage a small team in that area.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who would like to move into a more managerial role and further their career in social care. You needn’t have any office based experience as we will provide full training and support as well as a comprehensive paid induction.

The successful candidate will initially act as a full time field co-ordinator with a pay package that includes a basic salary of between £17k-20k+ dependent on performance related bonuses as well as other benefits including mileage.

The role allows some degree of flexibility and we would like to agree those specific terms with the candidate at interview in order to get the right working arrangement for you and your personal situation.

Responsibilities include:-
Periodically handling an on out of hours on call
Rostering clients and carers
Maintaining a high level of quality of care delivery
Recruitment of staff
Marketing to the local area
Reporting to senior management
Liaising with clients and their families

Candidates must be:-
NVQ level 2 or higher
A full driving license and the use of a car
Proactive with a can do attitude with the desire to progress in the field of social care.
A sound level of experience in social care
