Software Developer - Canterbury Kent. Software Developer required Canterbury Kent.
Full responsibility for the development, maintenance and ongoing growth of the client. Working knowledge of programming languages, sequential databases and ability to build back and front end software for bespoke requirements.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
Development
• Software development, creation and implementation
• Assessment and review of current and future processes
• Ability to build processes into software to streamline and increase efficiencies
• Ability to assess and improve on current practices
Maintenance
• Maintenance and ongoing development of software
• Maintenance and repair of all hardware including computers and phone system
• Liaising with external contractors for other services
General
• Deliver all activities through strict adherence to applicable legislation and in accordance with the client’s policies and procedures.
• Provide regular timely reports and adhoc reports as is required to management.
• Building strong and effective working relationships with all colleagues, clients and workers
• Communicate, liaise and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods in order to facilitate the development and profitability of sustainable business relationships
• Represent the client in a professional manner at all times, and treat all clients, customers, colleagues, employees, workers and drivers with dignity and respect
• Promote the client “Gold Standard” and its commitment to the provision of the highest levels of service through the development of strong partnerships at all times.
• Work diligently to achieve and exceed standards and levels of performance as agreed with the Senior Management / Management team.
• Continued professional and self development, including self study and training (both internal and external)
• Uphold the client’s commitment to equality, diversity and equal opportunities at all times, leading by example to create a positive culture that minimises discrimination and inequality.
• Carry out all tasks with respect and understanding of the importance of confidentiality
• Carry out all tasks in accordance with health and safety regulations, and ensure that reasonable care is taken for personal safety and the safety of others
• Any other duties as is reasonable required by Senior Management.
