GW has established a world leading position in the development of plant-derived cannabinoid therapeutics through its proven drug discovery and development processes, intellectual property portfolio and regulatory and manufacturing expertise.
The company has a deep pipeline of additional clinical stage cannabinoid product candidates for both orphan and non-orphan indications with a particular focus on neurological conditions.
We are currently recruiting for Pharmaceutical Distribution Team Lead, offering an exciting and innovative place to work, with an excellent benefits package and a strong team culture.
The Role
Manage the team of Co-ordinators in planning, co-ordinating and delivering on clinical requirements
Key Responsibilities
• Act as first point of contact for escalation of programme issues
• Management of the Operation Co-ordinators
• Working with the Operation Co-ordinators and Programme Managers to establish demand and forecasting information. Inclusive of monthly reviews planned against actual.
• Ensure preparation of documents and labels for each specific packaging operation is in adherence to plan.
• Review the effectiveness of current processes within designated area and provide input into process improvements in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Provide Key Performance Indicator data as required.
Essential Skills & Experience
Knowledge and Experience
Knowledge:
• Previous experience of working within a clinical trials environment.
• Understanding and knowledge of the MHRA Rules and Guidance for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Distributors guidance with specific emphasis on packaging IMP and IMP label requirements.
Skills:
• High level of numeracy and literacy with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills including experience in writing reports and conducting presentations.
Attributes and Behaviours:
• Collaborative team player that can coach and mentor - members of the team.
• Develops and maintains positive working relationships with others.
• Acts as a positive change agent and will support the senior leadership team in implementing new ideas, processes and structures.
Desirable Skills and Experience
• Relevant experience in leading a team.
• Project management experience or qualifications.
• People Management qualification.
