Hours and Holidays
37.5 hours per week
Rota-based (Monday - Friday between 8am and 6pm)
21 + bank holidays

Stonetools is the leading supplier of tools for working stone in the UK. We supply the tools and consumables used for cutting, shaping, polishing, drilling, gluing and treating natural stone and other hard surfaces. Our range includes power tools, abrasives and chemical products. 

Natural stone is one of mankind's oldest building materials and includes marble, granite, limestone, sandstone, onyx and travertine. Our customers also work man-made products. The many ways in which these materials are processed for varying applications will provide diverse and interesting customer interactions.

Stonetools began its' mission 20 years ago. We have built our business up to over 800 regular customers. Our mission is to be "the leading supplier of tools for working stone and other hard building materials worldwide".

Your Part 
Sales and Customer Service Advisor is an internal sales role that will task you to respond to customer requests, maintain and increase sales levels and deliver excellent customer service. It is a crucial front-line role that holds a great deal of responsibility for ensuring customers are delighted with the products and services that we supply. 

As a Sales and Customer Service Advisor you will process customers' orders, respond to enquiries and contact customers to carry out a range of account management functions that focus on growing and maintaining customer's spend with us. There is also a requirement for you to provide routine customer service, technical assistance and to complete administrative sales and office duties. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Process sales orders from customers
• Handle responses to marketing campaigns
• Identify sales opportunities from customer communications
• Apply strategies to increase average order value
• Provide service and support to customers including returns, repairs and complaints
• Encourage customers to use the company's consumable management services
• Maintain and grow sales by using account management techniques
• Refer to the knowledge base for answers to technical enquiries.
• Update, maintain and enhance the quality of data recorded and held on customers' records
• Other duties may be assigned and/or the above amended from time to time

 Entry Requirements
• 12+ months of customer handling experience
• Valid UK Driving Licence
• No product or industry knowledge is required - full training will be provided


Candidate Profile
• You are friendly and keen to listen and understand customers' needs
• You are attentive to detail and ensure that tasks are completed
• You are happy to sell our products to customers
• You have the ability to explain technical concepts
• You are ambitious and hard working
