Experienced Health Care Assistant
RSFL are looking for an Experienced Health Care Assistant to join a busy and friendly practice team in Ashford. Lovely working environment in a modern fresh building that has excellent patient facilities. This is an amazing opportunity to become part of a practice which provides a high standard of patient care and is committed to professional development.
Hours 15-20 hours per week (flexible rota) you may be required to work additional hours to cover holiday and sickness absence. Some weekend working may also be required. Salary – Competitive.
All About the Role
To maintain set standards of organisation in the practice including infection control and take
appropriate action if these standards are not being met. To ensure that clinical areas are
adequately stocked and maintained to statutory levels of hygiene according to practice
policies.
Adhere to all practice procedures and protocols. Support the practice in its aims within the
Quality and Outcomes framework.
We are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Health Care Assistants seeking a new
challenge. You will support the GP’s and Nursing Team in providing skilled medical care to
the practice’s population. The ideal candidate must have skills in general Health Care
Assistant duties.
Offering a busy and varied environment, including the opportunity to work closely with experienced nursing team and within a Consultant Led Clinic.
All About you!
The successful applicant should be in possession of the relevant formal qualifications and have demonstrable experience and competence in the role of an HCA.
Ideally, you would have an NVQ Certificate at Level 3 and will be proficient in wound management, health checks, treatment room’s duties and other appropriate tasks under the supervision of the more senior clinicians.
NVQ qualification
KaSPaC Course/Care Certificate
Recognised certificate of competence in phlebotomy
Previous General Healthcare Assistance Duties
Ideally 6 Months experience of phlebotomy
Experience in a GP Surgery
Ability to provide quality care, including phlebotomy, ECG’s, patient health checks, blood pressures, wound care.
