We are currently recruiting for an Electrically biased Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a growing company within Gillingham, Kent!

Purpose of the role:

General Electrical and Mechanical servicing, repairs, installation and testing, improvement projects and general routine maintenance tasks on a wide range of production machinery such as, plastic extrusion, printing, plating process, automated warehouse and site facilities.

Duties include the following:

• To attend breakdowns and take appropriate action to return plant to production in a timely manner whilst adhering to safe working procedures and maintaining a standard of good engineering practice.
• Performing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) as required.
• Ensuring that all Electrical installations adhere to the Safe Working Procedures, Instructions, and legal and best practice requirements.
• Keeping clear, complete and appropriate records of all work carried out.
• Ensuring that the Maintenance Supervisor is kept informed on all key issues.
• Keeping up to date with technical and process developments throughout the company.
• Following safe systems of work and complying with Health and Safety regulations.
• Other duties as may be assigned by line management from time to time.
• Attending call outs as required by a roster.
