New Appointments Group is recruiting on behalf of a global organisation who are looking for a 17th edition qualified maintenance engineer.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a maintenance engineer with a manufacturing back ground who has experience in machinery fault finding, PLC controls with pneumatic/ hydraulic knowledge. The successful candidate will be qualified to 17th edition fixed wiring and testing with experience in PPM routine and reactive maintenance.
Responsibilities and Technical Knowledge required for the role:
* Understanding of ladder logic, electrical and mechanical drawings.
* Trouble shooting and repairing or equipment, logic thinking to repair root cause of problems to minimise re occurrence of fault.
* Start up, run and monitor the operations and shut down of service plant equipment and systems when authorised to do so.
* Installation and repair of piped services, compressed air, vacuum, drainage, heating and cooling systems.
* Strip down, overhaul, set up and test pressure regulating and pressure relieving devices such as air regulators and safety valves.
In addition to the above, the successful candidate will also be responsible for implementing key changes and improvements within the department and facilities with the aim to improve overall performance and efficiency.
