Our established Client based in Kent seeks an experienced Materials Planner. The position is offered as a full time permanent position working Monday to Friday – weeks rotate 7.30am to 4.30pm and 8.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Thursday, 12.30 finish on Friday, then rota’d to work Friday afternoons every 3 weeks – paid for 37.5 hours per week + excellent benefits.
Suitable candidates will possess the following skills and experience:
• BTEC/HNC or HND in production planning an advantage
• Knowledge of planning materials within an assembly based manufacturing facility
• In-depth knowledge of MPS, MRP essential
• The controlling of stock; works order planning and customer order control to delivery
• Statistical reporting, forecasting and understanding of financial and operational impacts of forecasting
• Highly organised and excellent attention to detail
• Excellent analytical skills
• Sense of urgency and the desire to continually improve systems and processes
• Able to work to tight deadlines and make decisions under pressure
• Be a good negotiator, persuasive and commercially astute
This role reports to the Supply Chain Manager duties will include planning the supply of products and materials from the supply chain, through the manufacturing facility, to meet customers’ expectations, on time, in fill and without waste. The Materials Planner will be responsible for master schedules and updating live plans within the facility, including liaising with Commercial, Engineering and Operations colleagues.
Ideally a minimum of three year’s relevant experience within a modern blue chip manufacturing organisation
