This is a well-established accountancy firm run by qualified professionals. It is a place where you will be able to deploy and develop your knowledge. The firm is part of a larger accountancy network and as such, benefits from excellent marketing, business development and technical support. They are now looking for a personal tax assistant to complement the current team.

You may have a formal accountancy, or tax qualification, or be qualified by experience, but you must have a sound understanding of personal taxation. You should be able to undertake the preparation of personal tax returns and communicate well with clients and staff at HMRC to obtain information and answer queries. This is a busy office, and there will be plenty of face-to-face and phone interaction with clients.

It is likely that your experience will come from working within an accountancy practice, or with a department of HMRC. Working knowledge of CCH Central software would be ideal; alternatively, knowledge of other tax return processing software would be valuable. Training and ongoing CPD will be provided.

This position could be full or part time.
