This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Service Architect to join a major financial services provider, supporting some of the UK`s best loved brands.

The role is responsible for establishing, maintaining, communicating and governing Service Architecture, ensuring it is aligned with corporate strategies, business goals and agreed Technology strategies and plans.

We would like to hear from Service Architects with experience of developing Service Models and Strategy for large, enterprise scale businesses or similar sized client businesses. Scalable experience is a must, as is previous experience in an outsourced services environment, either on the client or supplier side.

Responsibilities;
Develop the Service Model and contribute to the formulation of the Service strategy.

Develop, maintain, communicate and execute a robust Service Architecture management, assurance and governance framework and associated artefacts to ensure and assure the end to end interoperability of service models incorporating internal functions and 3rd party suppliers.

Define, communicate and maintain a set of service architecture principles which can be utilised by both internal functions and vendors. Provide design authority for the Service Architecture and the Service Model and provide advice, expertise and support to ensure adoption and compliance to policies, standards, and best practice by internal functions and 3rd party suppliers

Establish an agreed Service Management maturity framework to identify organizational and process maturity and capability. Provide input to service process maturity assessments as required.

Proactively engage with the Business and Technology stakeholders and key forums to:
Understand business strategies and how these will influence the demand for Live Services and
ensure that future strategy and technical decisions take into account impacts upon the Service Model
Contribute to delivery of strategy by ensuring the Service Architecture is aligned with corporate strategies, architectures, plans and appetite for risk.
Develop Service Management policies, standards, processes and guidelines engaging relevant stakeholders internal and external to Live Services

Support the design and delivery of Service solutions:
Develop standard models for service scope and service level definition to support the development of Service solution designs.
Ensure service designs consider service support requirements and costs
Assess the impact of proposed service solution designs on the current and future Service architecture. Identify and resolve architecture issues and risks and update the architecture if required.
Support commercial and contractual negotiations by providing subject matter expertise relating to minimum standards for service level agreements and key performance indicators.

Identify and implement opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement in Service Management including the application of emerging industry trends and developments.

Pro-actively demonstrate required behaviours in line with expectations of the role.

Lead commercial negotiations with external suppliers to ensure supplier Contracts align with Service Model requirements.

Experience;
This role requires solid experience developing technology service models within an enterprise scale environment.

Demonstrable experience developing and maintaining robust Service Architecture management, assurance and governance frameworks and associated documentation.

Solid experience with ServiceNow or a similar solution will be beneficial.

A strong understanding of ITIL principals.
