Application SME (Documents & Imaging)
This is a fantastic opportunity for a technical Documents and Imaging software expert with depth and breadth of experience working with imaging platforms such as Open Text Enterprise Scan, Capture Centre, IDM, Case360 and Process Intelligence, to join the Application Development & Maintenance (ADM) Department of major financial services provider, an employee and customer centric organisation housing some of the UK`s best loved brands.
Responsible for knowledge and expertise in the specific business processes and business rules and how they are embedded in Documents and Imaging platforms and applications to ensure optimal solutions and value are delivered to the business.
Responsibilities:
Provide pro-active ownership and support for the configuration of business processes and business rules relating to the application.
- provide continuity of design and expertise across and between projects
- develop and maintain knowledge of agreed business functions and business processes
- develop business process standards and frameworks related to the application
- maintain and share subject matter expertise (on the processes, rules, integrations, process flows, user stories)
- ensure proposed changes are aligned to the application strategy and to standards
- Ensure application is future proof, and future vision applied
- attain optimum balance of customisation and off the shelf functionality.
- pro-actively share knowledge and provide support, guidance including 3rd party suppliers.
Ensure that applications developed and deployed are fit for purpose and meet business requirements.
- obtain agreement on the requirements / features ensure appropriate prioritisation
- ensure the proposed solution meets business requirements and aligns with agreed SLA`s
- support 3rd party suppliers to deliver software within the agreed solution design
- identify issues and risks and lead their resolution as required
- ensure software is supportable in the live environment.
- Provide production and warranty support; undertaking problem and incident management activities, potentially on a 24x7 cover basis
Contribute to the development of platform capabilities to deliver using Agile / Scrum / DevOps practices as required.
Continually improve processes and ways of working to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the applications delivered.
Requirements:
Extensive experience of working with Document & Imaging systems within enterprise scale environment
Knowledge of multiple systems to include but not limited to Open Text, Enterprise Scan, Capture Center, IDM, Case360, Process Intelligence (Image) & Thunderhead Admin, Business Objects Studio, Business Contents Studio and CSF, Doc1, DTM (Docs)
Ability to demonstrate experience of acting as an SME
Lead & drive supplier effectiveness, whilst owning an application technically
Ability to interact with senior stakeholder with a FTSE organisation
Experience of a full development lifecycle
Previously worked in a mixed internal / outsourced model.
