Valuation Surveyor, South East

Barker Munro is pleased to be working with this entrepreneurial real estate company who are based in Kent and are currently going through a period of expansion and are looking to add a well versed Valuation Surveyor to their in house chartered surveying team.

The main focus as a Valuation Surveyor will be to carry out valuations of properties across the South East region of England. Reporting to the senior management within the surveying team, with a dotted line into the group director, you will be tasked with applying your expert knowledge and awareness of the local property market to ensure that all valuations are carried out across all sectors of commercial property, offices, industrial, retail, leisure and residential.

To be considered for the Valuation Surveyor, my client is looking for you to be able to demonstrate various key qualities which will include, but are not limited to, being ambitious, self-motivated, Self-starter and having the ability to work under your own steam and guidance. You will also be able to show adaptability in getting involved in other areas of the business as required. As the business grows, the senior management are looking for people to grow with them and sometimes putting that extra mileage in when needed.

What knowledge and skills do you need to demonstrate as a Valuation Surveyor? Well, some solid practical knowledge of the Kent and South East Property market is a must but also the fact that you will have gained chartered status and be a minimum of MRICS qualified. Along with the chartered status, we are looking for you to be able to demonstrate 3 years PQ surveyor status and also ideally having held Registered Valuer status.

A fantastic opportunity for you to work in a local role, but with autonomy to embrace more than average opportunities and to work for an emerging force within the investment and property markets.

Consideration will be given to candidates that reside in Kent, Surrey, Essex or Sussex, but 3 days in the office per week is a minimum.
