ASSISTANT MANAGER

Village Green Restaurants (part of the Shepherd Neame group) is looking for a proactive and driven Assistant Manager to join their team at the Fish on the Green Restaurant in Bearsted.

This role is key within the restaurant, so we need someone enthusiastic with bags of personality that can offer first class restaurant support to the Manager. Exceptional customer service and service delivery standards are a must.

The Fish on the Green Restaurant is a small, personal restaurant specialising in fine dining with the emphasis on fish dishes. The restaurant is open 6 days a week, closed on Mondays.

We provide our Assistant Managers with ongoing support, so if you love the hospitality sector and if becoming a Manager is your end goal, we will get you there.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Reporting into the Manager, supporting the day-to-day running of the restaurant.
• Undertaking Duty Manager shifts and responsibilities.
• Upholding first class customer service delivery, quality and food standards.
• Ensuring customer expectations are met.
• Working towards the restaurant targets.
• Supporting with stock management, administrative and banking duties.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:
• At least six months supervisory experience.
• Hospitality, leisure or retail experience.
• Great leadership and training skills.
• Excellent customer service, service delivery and health and safety standards.
• You must be flexible in terms of working hours.
• You must be able to work some evenings and weekends.
• Passion and enthusiasm for the hospitality sector.
