This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Application Support Manager to join a FTSE 100 business within an exciting period of change within Technology Services. Aiming to be at the forefront of technology, this is a challenging, rewarding and innovative time to join this organisation.

This role will be responsible for the delivery of pro-active application maintenance to minimise the impact of unplanned changes and provide agreed levels of performance and continuity of service.

As the Application Maintenance Manager, you will work collaboratively with service integration, service operations and service management teams to support the integrated end to end service operations across the supply chain. Within an outsourced environment, the Application estate is over 100 applications and this role will oversee the move to a more assured outsource model managing suppliers positively to help them deliver the service with an overall push for efficiency.

Key tasks will include:

-       provide input to the integrated set of measures across applications and live services.

-       provide input to service design, service cost modelling and service improvements

-       develop and monitor application level OLAs & SLAs

-       Maximise the value of Application Maintenance to Application Development

-       Minimise reliance on Application Development in resolving problems and incidents.

-       Manage completion of unplanned changes to ensure resolution of incidents / defects

You will have extensive experience of working as an Application Maintenance Manager within an enterprise scale environment with the ability to lead staff, and maintain a live Application Development / Software Engineering centre. The ability to interact and Influence senior stakeholders with a FTSE organisation is also essential. This should be combined with experience of the full development lifecycle and previous experience working in a mixed internal / outsourced model., including Service/Contractual reviews. Any experience within the insurance or financial services sector would be highly beneficial but backgrounds within retail, airlines etc. would also be of interest.
