Due to expansion our well established client is looking for 2 Night Route Planner’s. You will be based at one of their Kent office locations (office location nearest to your home) or you may be given the opportunity to work from home.

The successful applicant will work effectively to plan vehicles in a cost effective manner. Plan daily activities based on arrival and departure and mobility type. Maximise vehicle capacity-pre-loading to increase efficiency of operations.

Key Responsibilities
•Analyse resource availability taking into account manning levels, sickness to achieve an effective and robust journey’s plan taking into account contractual time windows around appointment times, patient mobility and geographic location.
•Identify shortfalls in resource at the earliest opportunity and escalate to relevant managers (to look at the volume and type of bookings 3 days in advance taking into account vehicle service and maintenance, staff annual leave and sickness levels as well as distance of bookings for patients coming in and out of county).
•Work with Team Leaders to ensure resource levels are as required, and that they are advised on best days for vehicle servicing or maintenance to minimise impact on the operation.
•Ensure plans allow sufficient rest breaks for all crews.
•To provide regular statistical information in respect of usage of the service.
•To provide support to the Patient Contact Centre Administrators where necessary, requesting referral letters, offering choice to patients and booking appointments.
•Has to ensure breaks are evenly distributed throughout the fleet taking into consideration vehicle mobility’s and journey demand at peak times of the day ensuring KPI’s and T&C’s are upheld.
•Review the plan/activity figures that were associated with the contract for the previous year to look for trends, peaks and troughs in on the day activity.
•Support the out of hours controllers and call handlers to manage any incidents throughout the silent hours and escalate any immediate issues to the relevant on call managers.

Required skills:
•Previous transport/logistics planning experience
•Good geographical knowledge of the local area
•Good standard of education
•Competent with using Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook
•Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
•Able to work accurately under pressure and with minimal supervision

The successful applicant must be able to provide 5 year referencing and pass an enhanced CRB.

Hours: 40 hours per week – 8pm-7am with 1 hour for lunch. 4 on 4 off rotation.
Salary: £23,000-£25,000 dependant on experience
